Buttons
Buttons are core interaction elements found in all apps. Buttons can be used to link a user to specific pages, trigger an action or update/download content from/to a users device, etc.
Adding a button to a slide is quite simple, buttons are actually rectangle shapes within Slides. To add a button to your slide:
Add your buttons text label
To add a text label to your button simple double click the newly added rectangle shape and begin typing in your label.
Styling your button
For buttons you can style both the text content along with the button fill color (background).
Some templates may disregard your style in favor of simplicity, as the default color from Slides is a bit on the boring side.
Note: The styles must be applied to the entire element, inline styling is not currently supported.
To change the background fill color:
Select the Fill color from the toolbar (it looks like a bucket)
Choose your color
Linking your button
When a user clicks your button it should do something, right? To add a link to another page or external site simply add a link to your button shape.
Click your button shape
Select the Insert link icon from the toolbar
Select a slide within your presentation or type in an external website
