What are stickers and how do I use them?

What is a Sticker?

Stickers change the way that slides interact with each other and let you add new features to your app. They can enhance your app and it more user-friendly and fun

Animation

Add effects to your slide to give your app some personality!

To animate something on the slide:

• Click animation sticker

• Fill out the animation prompts and paste your sticker

Animation: Choose which animation you want to use! Explore this animation library for more Duration: Choose how long your animation will last! (We recommend you pick something around 350 ms) Easing: Choose how the animation moves at different points in the animation (e.g. how it accelerates and decelerates).

• When the sticker is pasted, click it

• While holding the shift key, click the image you want to animate

• Right click the image and select “Group”

After that, the image will be animated on your app!

Join

When you add a join sticker, this slide and the next slide will appear as one page on the published app!

Home

Choose the first page people should see when they view your app! There can be only one!

The template you use will already have a home sticker. Don’t worry, you probably won’t need to add one!

Form

Use the form sticker to add submittable prompts to a slide, like quizzes and contact information submission.

• Share your Google sheet with da Vinci ([e-mail])

If you don't share your Google sheet with da Vinci ([e-mail]), then your Form sticker will not work!

• Click the Form sticker

• Enter your Google Sheet's link in the “Sheet URL” prompt, then delete the “/edit…” section

• Enter the name of the sheet you want to use for “Sheet Name.” (that's the tab at the bottom, e.g. “Sheet 1”).

• Select “Display Labels" if you want like to see the text of the Google Sheet column in the form boxes.

• Choose the text for your submission button (e.g. “Submit,” “Send,” etc.)

• Paste your sticker!

When users submit a form, the data will appear directly on your Google Sheet!

If you want to add another column on your sheet, you don't need to republish! Just add a column and refresh the app!

List

Create sleek lists of items on your app using the list sticker! You can use it to give your users basic information like hours of operation, important phone numbers, and more.

• Share your Google sheet with da Vinci ([e-mail])

If you don't share your Google sheet with da Vinci ([e-mail]), then your List sticker will not work!

• Click the List sticker

• Enter the hyperlink of your Google Sheet in “Sheet URL,” but delete the “/edit…” section

• Enter the name of the sheet you want to use for “Sheet Name.” Sheets are the tabs at the bottom of Google Sheets (e.g. “Sheet 1”)

• Paste your sticker!
